The wait is finally over as the itel P33 Plus is now available in the Nigerian market. The itel P33 Plus was launched here in the Nigerian market in late March 2019 alongside its normal variant, the itel P33 but unfortunately, the itel P33 Plus was delayed until now that the device is made available in all smartphone outlets nationwide for just N27,000.
The itel P33 Plus is the latest addition to itel P – Power series smartphone, fully equipped with innovative technology features like AI-powered big battery, dual camera, big screen, Face ID and many more.
The P33 Plus boasts of massive 5,000 mAh battery capacity which the company claims that the battery can last “100 hours on normal usage, 350hours on standby with SIM, 7.5hours if you shoot pictures in every 20seconds, 22hours when connected with internet via 3G, 12hours watching videos and 10hours using social media apps.” Building on the premium legacy of long-lasting battery performance, the P33 embodies a revolutionary battery setup with the industry-leading technologies.
Here with me, I have the Gradation Blue variant of the itel P33 Plus which I shall be sharing with you the unboxing images, specs and a quick hands-on of the device. So guys let’s get started.
The itel P33 Plus comes in a sealed square red box with the name of the phone written out on the front face. Just as it is written on the sealed, consumers are held not to accept device if the seal is broken. Also on the back of the box, we have some highlight specifications of the phone written on it and the free 1.5GB 9Mobile data activation guide on it.

Quick Hands-On Review
Design, Display, and Camera
No notch display? No Waterdrop display? It seems Itel Mobile is not a fan of the trendy displays that are rocking the smartphone market lately which I have mentioned earlier. Instead, the device is equipped with a 6.0″ IPS Fullscreen display and has a pre-installed film screen protector which doesn’t do much on falls but works well in against scratches from coins or keys.
The itel P33 Plus is available in three colours; Champagne Gold, Deep Blue, Gradation Blue. The massive 5,000 mAh battery inside the device has added a little weight to the device and it quite not sleek compared to the Itel P32 and Itel S33 but I like the fact that it comes with a glossy finished body because it makes the phone really solid in the hand. At the same time, you might as well use the transparent plastic back cover to prevent the phone against scratches from coins or keys.
At the front of the device, we have the front-facing 8 megapixels camera, the speaker and the LED flashlight. I actually did a quick test of the front-facing and it’s quite interesting to see the result of the camera. Thorough testing of the front-facing camera would be done during my review.
On top of the device, we have the usual 3.5mm headphone port.
A quick look on the right side of the phone, we have the Power button and the volume rocker while nothing is available on the other side of the device.
Beneath the phone, we have the Micro-USB port for charging the device.
Taking a tour to the rear side of the phone, we also have the dual 8 MP + 2 MP camera with f2.2 Aperture alongside the dual LED flashlight. The camera is equipped with a lot of features like Portrait, HDR, Pro, and Pano. Underneath it is the Fingerprint which the company says has a quick response to 0.02seconds. We also have the loudspeaker at the back which is pretty loud enough.
Hardware and Sofware Overview
The Itel P33 Plus is an entry-level device and its powered with Spreadtrum SC7731E quad-core, with Mali-T820 GPU paired with 1GB of RAM with a good RAM management technology via the special Android 8.1 Oreo Go Edition which is well optimized and also helps to saves your data. The onboard storage is quite fascinating. It has 16GB of ROM which can be expanded with MicroSD card to 32GB via Micro-SD.
The device is also pre-loaded with Google special apps – Google Go, YouTube Go, Gmail Go, Assistant Go, and Maps Go. Other pre-installed apps include Boomplay, Facebook Lite, Opera Mini, Opera News, Palmstore, WhatsApp, Gallery, App Freezer, Power Master, and FM Radio.
Network connectivity wise, the phone uses dual Nano SIMs which supports only 2G and 3G network.
The main selling point of this device is the battery. The itel P-series devices are battery focused and yes, they are really good in that apart. Unlike the P33, here we have massive 5000mAh non-removable battery capacity. For us to know the battery performance of the phone, I would be doing a Live battery performance test in the coming days. With that, we all can know how strong is the battery life.
Itel has been known for producing trendy devices with pocket-friendly prices. Here again, Itel mobile has done it again as the itel P33 Plus goes for N27,000 in all stores nationwide.
