Some of the coolest ways to enjoy more features using WhatsApp are through third-party apps made available. The WhatsApp third-party apps we are talking about here are the apps you’re already familiar with for example GB WhatsApp and Yo WhatsApp, these two apps have gained more popularity alongside the initial WhatsApp all because of some tricks and features available on the third-party apps.
Before now the usage of the third-party apps such as GB and Yo WhatsApp are at the detriments of the users, even though the users tend to overlook that simply because of some tricks and features they have access to on the third party apps unlike the initial WhatsApp such as the ability to disable the blue tick/secondary tick or read receipt feature that makes you go anonymous while viewing people’s status or the ability to download statuses without the need of a third-party app even though the app you’re using is also a third-party app.
However, WhatsApp has issued a warning against the continued use of these third-party apps, citing security concerns as the primary reason. The Facebook-owned app has mentioned that they would ban accounts of users who have been using these third-party platforms.
Even though this is a temporary ban, Whatsapp didn’t specify how long the ban is going to last. However, reports claim that users would be advised to switch back to the supported Whatsapp version to lift the ban.
So if you are found guilty of using any of the third-party apps, it would be advised you do the needful before your account gets banned.
