You can now Tweet with your voice using Twitter Audio Broadcasting
If you will like to tweet without having to type using your voice only, well there is news for you. Twitter has just added a new feature to its mobile App called the “audio-only broadcast”.
Am sure you are as excited as I am, but there is a little condition to it. As at this time, the new feature is only available to iOS users only.
Which means if you are an Android user like me, you will either get an iPhone or wait patiently for the feature to be rolled out to Android smartphones.
One might not have expected the release method employed by Twitter, giving iOS users priority over Android users. The reason is a Global OS market share 2018 statistics show that 88% of all smartphones sold to end users were phones with the Android operating system.
If we are to go by the figures, it means that trying out the audio-only broadcast on Android would have made this feature more popular among Twitter users than it would on iOS users. But then am sure Twitter had their reasons.
If you are already an iOS user, to enjoy the feature just update your Twitter app, tap on the compose icon, tap “Go Live”, then tap the mic sign on the screen and you are LIVE.
The Audio-only will definitely save data, much like the video live broadcast. But the difference between the two is that your followers can’t see you but they can hear you loud and clear.
Radio stations and podcasters will find it really helpful, and if you are considering a career as an OAP then you can start your training here.
