Oppo launches Find X with 8GB of RAM, 256GB ROM and 3D facial recognition system

Oppo Find X with 8GB/256GB will be available from August at a retail price of â‚¬ 999 while the special Lamborghini version at € 1699 will also be available with 512GB of internal memory and SuperVOOC top-up that allows 100% autonomy in just 35 minutes.


After several weeks of teasing and speculations, the Chinese phone maker, Oppo has today launched it’s much more anticipated flagship device dubbed Find X. The device comes with so many mind-blowing specifications and is good to know that the Find X is not another iPhone X cloned with a top-notch feature.

Oppo Find X is a flagship device which boasts 6.4 “OLED display with FHD + resolution (2340 x 1080 pixels) and curved sides that offers an impressive display/surface ratio of 92.25 %. It also comes with a mechanism (Pop-up) that allows the camera system (both front and rear) to be virtually hidden with the device turned off or with camera app closed within the same frame.

Find X is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with 8GB of RAM and two storage configuration of 128GB and 256GB of internal storage. The device boot Android 8.1 Oreo Operating system with Oppo installed Color OS customization.

Camera wise, the Oppo Find X has three cameras mounted on one pop-up mechanism – dual cam on the back, single on the front. Once the app is launched, in fact, the entire upper section of the device is extended in just 0.5 seconds, revealing a front camera with 25MP 3D facial recognition system – it lacks a fingerprint sensor, so the phone relies on its 3D facial scanning for secure locking. This requires the system to slide out, look at your face and unlock the phone, then slide back in. Going to the back is a dual rear camera of 16 + 20MP.

Battery wise, the device boast of 3730 mAh with VOOC fast charge support, similar to the OnePlus Dash Charge. It comes with a dual-SIM phone with worldwide LTE band support.

The device will be on sale in China, America, and Europe at a price not yet specified but pre-orders should start later today.
