
The modified Facebook Messenger kids App which Facebook has been working on for a while now, which has been made available on iOS and Amazon Fire tablets for a while now is now available on Android via the Google Play store for download. The application is designed for kids between the age of 6 and 12 with in-app purchase and hide options removed in order to give their parents more control and keep them from sending any unwanted messages.
The modified app allows the kids to connect with their families and their loved ones, chat with their friends, share moments with friends and loved ones. Facebook has also added Kid appropriate stickers, emojis, GIFs and frames to help them creatively express themselves. one on one video calls with various interactive AR masks has also been included for the kids to choose from.
The modified messenger kids app unlike the regular app does not ask for a phone number or needs a Facebook account before the kids can use the app. The kid’s account can be approved and verified via their Parents and approved grown-ups account giving the parents control over their kid’s account through their own regular account. Kids can also report inappropriate content and block content through their own app.
