Ntel, Nigeria’s most advanced 4G Long Term Evolution(LTE) Network, has again increased its data tariff price by nothing less than 40% without informing its customer. The increment affected the Smartphone Unlimited Monthly which was an increase from NGN 12,500 to 17,500.
The telecommunication company had earlier increased its three data bundles in April 2016 affecting Smartphone Unlimited Monthly from N10,000 to N12,500, Weekly: From N3,000 to N3,750 and Daily Lite: From N1,000 to N1,500.

Wow! So NTEL is now 17,500. From 10,000 to 12,500 and now 17,500. This is too much @ntelcare no notice, nothing. Mtchewww— Miss Aisha Lawal (@Shamazing__) December 5, 2017
This ntel increase from 12500 to 17500 is just preposterous.— Chocolate Cheeks (@Mz_zele) November 30, 2017
Nah. I don’t believe ntel is trying to charge people 17,500 only to her 20kbps download speed. Nope. Can’t be.— El Capitán (@pyrate_lord) December 4, 2017
Ntel just moved up to 17500 without giving us heads up.— Jack Sama (@StigEzeh) December 7, 2017
Ntel will just increase price anyhow 🙄— Demola Adetona (@DEMOLAEXPOZE) December 7, 2017
An unconfirmed news also claimed that Ntel does not only increased their data tariff but have also tampered with the Unlimited data cap which is now 90GB, meaning that you are paying N17,500 for 90GB.
So I can confirm the ntel price adjustment has taken effect.
Word of advice, *unlimited* = 90gb
Cheers. Thank you for using ntel. Your super fast network— AarinMoney (@AshipaEK0) December 6, 2017
So guys, would you pay N17,500 for Ntel Unlimited Data Plan or Port to another network provider?
